The Mary P. Dolciani Award

This award was established in 2011 to recognize a mathematician who has a distinguished record of research in pure or applied mathematics and has made significant contributions to K-16 mathematics education. The intent of the award is to recognize an outstanding mathematician's work and to encourage them and others to continue to actively contribute to mathematics education. The award amount is $5000.

The award is given through the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). There is a nomination and selection process with established criteria. Selection is recommended by a committee of professional peers and determined by the Board of Governors of the Mathematical Association of America. 

The Mary P. Dolciani Award is presented once a year at the Joint Mathematics Conference.
