Dolciani Project NExT Fellows

Project NExT (New Experiences In Teaching) is a professional development program of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for new or recent Ph.D.s in the mathematical sciences.

The program is designed for those who are interested in improving the teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics.  The program involves attending intensive sessions at national meetings where they learn how to enhance their teaching and launch their mathematical careers.  They meet current and previous Fellows and participate in an electronic network through which they can share ideas and get help on problems they encounter as new faculty members.

Project NExT addresses a broad range of professional issues, focusing on the teaching and learning of mathematics. The national program involves about 80 participants each year.

Dolciani Project NExT Fellows are candidates funded through a grant from the Mary P. Dolciani Halloran Foundation in honor of Dr. Mary P. Dolciani (Halloran). There is one endowed Fellow and an additional 10-20 each year.
